Charles Theatre

Originally operating under the name, the Times Theatre, in 1939 as Baltimore’s first newsreel movie house, The Charles was a single screen theatre entertaining natives and tourist. In 1999 it expanded to a five screen theatre featuring classic, contemporary, foreign and independent films all while retaining its old cinema charm. The Charles Theatre also supports the Maryland Film Festival and local filmmakers.
